Learning the Spanish language…?

IF YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE READING THIS WHOLE THING IM BASICALLY ASKING IF YOU KNOW ANY GOOD WAYS TO LEARN SPANISH FAST. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER :)

I have taken 2 years of Spanish in middle/high school and am now going on to my 3rd year although i do not feel ready and did not understand much in my second year. I have the highest difficulty with my verbs. Im a quick learner, it’s just that i’ve had a horrible spanish teacher. I’d like to be my own teacher now, and i have time cuz its summer, so if you know of any good books (or anything for that matter) that teach the Spanish language in a clear way i’d love to know.

I think the best way to learn any language is to practice. Here are some tips that may help you.

1. Read a lot of books, specially books for kids, no offense but the books for kids have simpler Spanish. This will help you learn new words and increase your grammar.

2. Listen music in Spanish.

3. Watch TV shows and movies in spanish.

4. Get an online friend that speaks Spanish. Explain that your trying to learn the language and would love for him to help you.

5. Try to do all your common tasks in Spanish, for example, switch yahoo to yahoo.es.

Hope this helps

suerte

What’s the best course to learn spanish as an adult?

Rosetta Stone? Bilingual America? Something else?
(There’s no college in the area)

There is no “best course” that will make you fluent in spanish.

A combination of courses can help you a great deal though

i.e.
pimsleur, rocket spanish, rosetta stone. Try to read my tips on learning the Spanish language to get things going.
