What is the best spanish language learning software?(Besides Rosetta Stone)

October 12, 2008 by Admin · 2 Comments

I would like to find a software that you can learn full spanish fast and easy without spending a lot of money?

My college uses a software called tell me more. My goal was to become fluent so it was perfect for me and I bought their individual version. It has a lot of different activities: picture/word association, videos, dialogues,…, includes also grammar and conjugation. It has also more content than any other language software. Their speech recognition is great so you can have a dialogue with the computer. You can check out their website for a free demo and compare too, or independent reviews (About.com…).

The best way to learn a language would be through immersion, visiting these countries. Learning a language will require some time. In addition to software, you can have books which are useful as well. Audio CDs like Pimsleur for instance might help you out but you cannot get any feedback on your pronunciation so I did not like it so much

Spanish language learning programs in foreign countries with instruction and home stays recommended?

October 10, 2008 by Admin · 2 Comments

I'm interested in spending a week or two in a Spanish speaking country and have looked into programs that offer instruction for part of the day and free time in afternoon evenings. Most offer the option to stay with a family. I am a beginner – intermediate and want to work with an organization that will place me according to my level, not just do what's good for them to get business.

Can anyone who has had experience with this recommend a country/city, as well a particular company they did business with ? Thanks.

I have friends who went to Cuernavaca, Mexico for such a program. They took classes during the day and lived with a family. They loved their experience and want to do it again. Here is the link to the school:

Learning Spanish?

October 8, 2008 by Admin · 8 Comments

I'm 17 and really love the spanish language. I have obviously figured out that the best way to fully learn the language is to be immersed in it. so, i was wondering if there are any language schools in other countries for kids my age (i will still be in high school next year)? Like an over the summer school or something. Does anyone know of any, and if so could you like give me a link to a website or more information or something? thanks a lot!
Hey bob, you dont need to make mean comments bitch. And i cut my own grass because i dont have people working for me because im a lazy ass little bitch like you.

hang around bilingual friends or be exposed to the language as much as possible, watch Telemundo :)
Some churches go to Mexico to help build homes or community work, try to go with them.
If you live in a state close to the Mexican border it's good idea to learn the language.
Many employers will prefer to hire you if you are bilingual.
Good luck !

Do you know of a program that offers the option of living in Spain and learning the Spanish language?

October 7, 2008 by Admin · 1 Comment

I will be 18 years old in the next month, and I would really like to go live in spain for maybe 4-6 weeks this summer. I don't want to travel alone, as I know nearly nothing. Does anyone know of a good, safe program that offers the oppurtunity to stay with a Spanish speaking family in Spain? Maybe someone has some experience with this, or studying abroad?

CULTURE AND LANGUAGE EXCHANGE SUMMER PROGRAM IN BEAUTIFUL AND SAFE SPANISH BEACH RESORT
My sister and I participated in the most amazing program in the most beautiful and safe beach resort in Spain called Santander. The program was so well organized and planned out so smoothly that we loved it there. Castilian is spoken and also we were so busy all the time with so many fun activities, so enriching we learned lots! We would attend classes in the morning mostly conversational and in the afternoons we had activities such as a bullfight, dance classes, a dinner out at the fishermen´s quarter, boat excursion… and then once a week there was a full day excursion to beautiful places of great interest such as the Guggenheim Museum, a hike along a Roman Route, middle age village, fishermen´s quarter, etc… all while living with a wonderful and caring host family. The greatest thing about this program is that they offer the possibility, only if your choice at no extra cost of coming with a friend to stay with, at same host family home, although if you want to live on your own that is possible, too. Also, they can guarantee for you to stay in a host family who has kids similar in age as you. It´s a fantastic program and I cannot stress enough the wonderful staff, the great classes, and the nice people. We also had time to go to the beach each day! As it is a beach resort, just right there. It´s fantastic that not many people know about this still undiscovered spot in Spain! And for this reason extremely safe. Contact them as ask them to email you their beautiful SLIDE SHOW. You will love it!!!! It´s amazing! Have fun and good luck. And the program is www.beautifulspain.com

October 4, 2008 by Admin · 3 Comments

Dear all,

I want to learn a foreign language. Now, I have to option. Whether I have to learn German language or learn Spanish Language. My english is good.

Please tell which language will be beneficial to me through which i get a good opportunity or good job.

Tell me also whats the benefits of these languages?

if you live in North America, Spanish. If you live in Europe, German. I am from California and I regret taking French instead of Spanish. I have since learned Spanish and use it a lot. I NEVER used French. I did work briefly in Germany, but that was a fluke.

Is there an age appropriate Spanish language program for High Schoolers learning Spanish?

October 1, 2008 by Admin · 2 Comments

A recurring show which has been approved by school districts and helps Spanish students in High School develop an ear for the language but not a "See Spot run" sort of program.. A program that is entertaining, has a real story line but not objectionable? Do you know of such a show?
All Spanish.. Immersion..

Destinos is used in school districts, is on educational TV and you can watch it on the web
