What is the best possible way (besides a college course) to learn Spanish? ?

I have to take two semesters of foreign language to earn my degree. Spanish seems to fit best in my schedule – I have a REALLY hard time rolling my “R” and just understanding the language. Can someone suggest a program that could help me learn to pronounce right and get a head start before next semester comes?
Rosetta Stone is the best in my opinion. I am in graduate school and although the program was expensive (around $350.00) it was well worth it. I am terrible at foreign languages, and even I passed the entrance exam to get my PhD with this program.

took two years of spanish in high school and i tried like those workbooks that are suppose to teach you spanish and also looked at a few on-line sites never really tried one. I still cannot seem to learn it i live in a area where there are a lot of spanish speaking people and i feel i would benefit and be able to get better jobs if i were bilingual. any ideas on good ways to learn or good programs that teach you a new languagee plz.
I think that practicing Spanish with someone who is a fluent speaker may help you. Someone speaking to you in Spanish will force you to think what you're going to say and how you're going to form your sentence. Don't forget to memorize the gender of the words! Very important.

I'd be a beginner level student and intend to enrol in an intensive course (eg. 30 hours of tuition per week) over a month in Spain, preferably in the region of Castilla y Leon where I heard has the purest spanish of all region in Spain.
Check this out:

If you wanna go to Castilla León, then I guess you should go to the school in Salamanca:

I really like this guy, but he speaks very little English and I speak very little Spanish. We have been teaching each other new words, but that feels like it takes forever to learn. What is a quicker way?
Try going to an adult school and taking classes on Spanish. He can go to the same school and take classes on learning English!
